About Ananda Elixirs

Ananda Elixirs makes Shroom Soda, a zero-sugar botanical drink concentrate built on functional mushroom extracts and plant-based flavors. Each bottle is handcrafted in small batches from real botanicals and fruit extracts, with no artificial flavors, sugars or sweeteners, and holds 30 servings in recyclable packaging. The brand has been featured on CTV News for its approach to health-conscious beverages, and it sells to cafes, coffee shops and wellness retailers across Canada.

The Challenge

Ananda Elixirs sells to independent cafes, coffee shops and wellness stores, many of them in Quebec, where outreach needs to happen in both French and English. Reaching enough of those accounts takes steady volume, and every interested reply needs a prompt follow-up, a sample, and a check-in after the sample lands. Doing all of that by hand in two languages competes with everything else it takes to run a small-batch brand.

The Solution

Ananda Elixirs runs its new-partner outreach through Overjoy, with campaigns aimed at the cafes, coffee shops and wellness retailers that fit the brand best. Over the past six months, that outreach reached more than 3,500 businesses and drew over 500 replies. Alongside outbound, the brand’s Overjoy wholesale interest form gives interested retailers an easy way to reach out on their own.

Automations carry the follow-through. More than 20 automations ran over the six months and started nearly 1,000 follow-up sequences, covering sample follow-ups in both French and English, timed check-ins, an approval flow for new wholesale requests, and a retention sequence that starts when a new customer’s opening order is delivered. The team named three parts of the setup as the ones working best: the volume of outreach, the positive replies it produces, and the automations that keep each conversation moving.

Results

Over the past six months, 69 new customers placed opening orders through Overjoy, and accounts that Overjoy brought in placed 301 orders worth more than C$197,000 in total. Most of that is repeat business: 231 of those orders were reorders from 90 partners won through Overjoy.

The reorders show the retention side working. Partners Overjoy helped win keep buying, while campaigns and the interest form add new ones each month.

“Overjoy has been a big part of how we reach new partners, and the results have been great for us. What’s working best is the volume of outreach, positive replies, and automations.”

What’s Next

With campaigns, an inbound interest form, bilingual follow-up and retention automations all running, Ananda Elixirs is set up to keep adding cafes, coffee shops and wellness retailers each month. Every new account enters the retention sequence once its first order is delivered, so today’s new partners can become the reorders of the months ahead.
